                                BOARD APPOINTMENT


Torex Retail plc, one of the UK's leading retail software businesses, today
announces the appointment of Jurgen Heck, Managing Director of the Company's
High Street Retail - Europe business unit, to the Board as an executive
director, with immediate effect.

Since 1983, Jurgen, aged 52, has been the CEO of Logware, a subsidiary of the
Company since its acquisition in June 2003, and has been a key factor in its
successes and growth over the past 20 years. In that time Jurgen has overseen
the development of Logware into a specialist, retail industry software developer
acquiring clients in Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and the UK. Logware
has also produced a Java point of sale product, LUCAS, which the Directors
believe is one of the leading solutions in Europe and forms the basis of a
product offering that will be marketed and rolled out across Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Robert Loosemore, CEO of Torex Retail plc, said:

There is nothing further to disclose in relation to Jurgen Heck's appointment
under schedule two, paragraph (f) of the AIM Rules.
