NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING
Topps Tiles plc (the 'Company') received notification on 12 December 2005 from
Fidelity International Limited ('FIL') that FIL and FMR Corp. and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries had an interest in 17,934,809 ordinary shares of 2.5p each
('Ordinary Shares'), equivalent to 7.9 per cent. of the Company's then issued
share capital following the sale of 272,303 ordinary shares. The interest was
registered as follows:

The notifications by FIL and FMR Corp also comprise a notifiable interest of Mr
