Re: Analyst Site Visit and Pre-Close Trading Update
TBI plc, one of the leading operators of regional airports in the UK, is hosting
a site visit to its Luton, Belfast International and Cardiff International
Airport operations for research analysts on 1-2 April 2003.
The site visit will be hosted by Keith Brooks, Chief Executive, and Caroline
Price, Finance Director, with presentations from the Group's senior executive
team including Paul Kehoe, Operations Director; Jon Horne, Managing Director of
Cardiff International Airport; Albert Harrison, Managing Director of Belfast
International Airport; and Dot Gade Kulovuori, Managing Director of Stockholm
Skavsta Airport.
The presentations will include an update on TBI's current strategy and future
growth prospects in each respective location, together with an analysis of the
dynamics behind the expansion of low-cost carrier traffic, both in the UK and
internationally.
In addition, TBI provides the following update on current trading:
'The Board of TBI confirms that current trading is in line with market
expectations and the solid performance which characterised the first half has
continued. The Directors remain confident that the Group is well placed to
benefit from continued growth in air travel. The current conflict in Iraq quite
clearly provides for uncertainty in our industry and we would not be exempt from
any extreme consequences. However at the time of writing the robustness and
resilience which characterised our business following the tragic events of 11
September 2001 are still apparent.'
TBI will announce its preliminary results on 10 June 2003.
