TRANSENSE TECHNOLOGIES PLC
FORTHCOMING BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Transense Technologies is pleased to announce that Sir
Dominic Cadbury and Peter Woods OBE have agreed to join
the board as directors. Sir Dominic will take over as
non-executive chairman when Graham Jarrett, the company's
present chairman, retires at the end of the year. Peter
Woods will replace John George as a non-executive when he
retires at the end of the year.
Chief Executive Jim Perry said: 'I am delighted that we
have been able to attract Sir Dominic and Peter to the
board. Sir Dominic brings a wealth of experience to the
company. He is chairman of Wellcome Trust, the largest
charity in the World, and of the Economist. Peter is
another boost to our board. He is Senior Investment
Advisor to the DTI/FCO on international trade and, up
until last year, was chairman of Rover Japan and CEO of
Rover's Australian and South African divisions which had
revenues of £750 million.'
'The retiring directors, Graham and John, have been
stalwarts in the building of Transense from its early
years with a market capitalisation of £1 million to the
present £250 million. They can now retire in the
knowledge that they are leaving their positions in the
very capable hands of Sir Dominic and Peter'.
Further announcements will be made in due course.
