The Board of Travis Perkins plc (the 'Company') were informed that Richard Bird
a member of the Company's Executive Committee was on 30 September 2005 granted
21,777 options under the Travis Perkins 2001 Executive Share Option Scheme over
ordinary shares of the Company at an exercise price of 1435p. The exercise
period is from 30 September 2008 to 30 September 2015. As Mr Bird does not hold
any other options his total options following the grant is 21,777.
