Tribal Group PLC 29 August 2001 TRIBAL GROUP 2001 AGM STATEMENT Tribal Group plc, a leading UK professional support services company, held its Annual General Meeting in Bristol today. All of the resolutions proposed at the meeting were duly passed. In welcoming shareholders to the meeting David Telling, Chairman of Tribal, commented: 'Results of 2001 In the year ended 31 March 2001, our first full year of trading, the Group produced excellent results. Excluding amortisation of goodwill and the costs associated with employee benefit trusts, turnover was £17.5m; operating profit was £3.1m. Operating margins were 18 per cent. Earnings per share were 7.1p. During the period the Group generated positive operating cash flow of £2.9m. On a pro forma basis, excluding amortisation of goodwill and the costs associated with employee benefit trusts, turnover was £24.1m and operating profit £4.8m. Growth We are seeing the benefits of cross-selling between our businesses and of developing national coverage. We are now strengthening our business development capacity with a centralised bid team. The Group recently acquired GWT Group, a leading recruitment advertising and search and selection consultancy in Local Government, and we will continue to make further acquisitions which either consolidate our position in our core markets or take us into new areas. Our core public sector markets in education and local authorities offer excellent opportunities, and we continue to win a number of contracts in these areas. Current Trading The Board is pleased that current trading is ahead of the corresponding period in 2000 and is in line with the Board's expectations. Prospects I am positive that the outturn for the year as a whole will demonstrate further substantial growth.'
