Contract Award by University of Oxford

Tribal, a leading provider of technology products and services to the education, learning and training markets, is pleased to announce a contract award from the University of Oxford ("Oxford" or "the University").

Oxford has selected Tribal's market-leading student management software system, SITS: Vision, to support over 21,000 students and 7,500 academic and administrative staff across the collegiate University. The contract will run for 4 years, with an option by the University to continue with support arrangements from the fifth year onwards.

The Oxford implementation will support major stages in the student career, from pre-application to graduation, improving integration with other key systems supporting activities associated with Alumni and Development, Finance, and Personnel. Staff and students will have timely access to consistent and up-to-date information for academic planning, oversight, and teaching and learning. The SITS: Vision functionality will allow greater interoperability between the systems used across the University and the 38 Colleges and 6 Permanent Private Halls.

SITS:Vision is the market-leading student information system in the UK, with over 70% of the market, and is currently used by more than 130 higher education institutions around the world to manage student admissions, including over half of the prestigious Russell Group of universities in the UK.

The University of Oxford's Director of Student Administration and Services Keith Zimmerman commented:  "This appointment marks a significant advancement in the University's student management technology and capabilities. The SITS:Vision system will help us meet the current and future operational challenges we face to support both staff and students. This will enable us to provide a more rapid and cost-effective response to process and policy change alongside an enhanced user experience."

Tribal's Chief Operating Officer, Keith Evans, commented: "We are delighted that the University of Oxford has chosen to work with Tribal and we look forward to supporting them with our SITS:Vision student management system. The project will deliver key improvements and provide the University with a strategic system for the future. This is particularly important at this point in time, as changes to the higher education section come into effect."
