THIRD NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOINS TRIFAST 
 
 
Leading international logistics management group, Trifast plc today announces
the further strengthening of its Main Board with the appointment of Ben
Stevens as Non-Executive Director with effect from 30 August 2000. 
 
Mr Stevens (Aged 41) has been with BAT plc since 1990 and has held a number
of senior roles within the Group both in the UK and overseas. Currently he is
completing the task of managing the integration of the BAT merger with
Rothmans. 
 
Prior to joining BAT he was Finance Director of BET's electronic security
division, Shorrock, and spent 3 years with Thorn EMI. He obtained an
Economics degree at Manchester University and an MBA from Manchester Business
School. 
 
Commenting on the appointment, Malcolm Diamond, Chief Executive, Trifast
said:- 

'Ben's considerable operational and international expertise will be
invaluable to Trifast as we roll-out our exciting plans for further overseas
expansion.' 
 
There are no further details required to be disclosed in relation to
paragraph 16.4(b) of the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules.
