GLASGOW INCOME TRUST PLC
The Board of Glasgow Income Trust plc has declared a third interim dividend
of 0.9p per share (1999 - 0.625p per share) in respect of the year to 30
September 2000 payable on 30 November 2000 to shareholders on the register at
close of business on 10 November 2000. The total dividends declared to date
amount to 2.15p per share (1999 - 1.875p per share).
This is the first rise in dividend resulting from the new higher yield
investment strategy introduced in the second quarter of 2000. The Board
intends to pay total dividends of not less than 3.7p per share in respect of
the year to 30 September 2000 (1999 - 3.0p per share), indicating a final
dividend of not less than 1.55p per share. For the year to 30 September 2001
the Board has forecast total dividends of 4.7p per share, which would
represent a net yield of 6.6% on the share price of 71.5p as at 31 August
2000.
