The Board of Glasgow Income Trust plc (the "Company") announces that it is
currently considering with its advisers an  issue of additional shares.  Any
issue will be made at a price which will avoid any dilution to net asset value
per  share for existing shareholders.  The Company's advisers will shortly be
identifying potential demand for the  additional shares to ascertain whether the
costs of preparing a prospectus are justified.  A further announcement will  be
made in due course.
