TT electronics powers ahead in Africa and the Middle East
TT electronics plc is pleased to announce that the group's Secure Power division has been successful in winning contracts worth a total of £8m for projects in the Middle East and North Africa.
These contracts, which are for delivery this year, cover the supply of:
Generating sets and uninterruptible power supplies for the United Arab Emirates Government development of the electricity infrastructure for the tourist industry in Dubai.
Power protection equipment to Ghana for the housing electrification programme.
High reliability, mission critical power generation equipment for the petrochemical industry in Algeria.
TT electronics is benefiting from strong demand for generator sets and uninterruptible power supplies from the Middle East and Africa, driven by the increasing requirement for reliable electricity supplies for domestic electrification and infrastructure improvements.
Neil Rodgers, Chief Executive of TT electronics, commented:
'We are delighted to be able to announce these contracts which underline the success of our ongoing strategy of targeting the higher margin petrochemical and power infrastructure markets. These markets demand high reliability, specialist equipment of which we are an approved global supplier. This news comes on the back of strong order intake for secure power systems which will be supplied from our recently extended manufacturing facility in Mexico.'
