Further to the announcement made on 9 March 2011, concerning the appointment of Simon Thompson as a non-executive director effective from 16 May 2011, Tullow Oil plc makes the following regulatory disclosures in accordance with Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UKLA and 6.6.7 of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange:

Mr Thompson has held the following directorships of publicly quoted companies within the past five years

1          Amec plc, UK (from 2009)

2          Newmont Mining Corporation, USA (from 2008)

3          Sandvik AB, Sweden (from 2008)

4          AngloGold Ashanti Ltd, South Africa (2004-2008)

5          Anglo American plc, UK (2005-2007)

In relation to UKLA Listing Rule 9.6.13 (2) - (6) and Irish Stock Exchange Listing  Rule 6.6.7.(2) - (6) there are no matters requiring disclosure by Simon Thompson.
