Director Declaration.


Further to the announcement made on 6 December 2006 concerning the appointment
of Angus McCoss as Exploration Director, Tullow Oil plc (the 'Company') makes
the following regulatory disclosures:



1          There is no information relating to Dr McCoss which is required to be
disclosed under Rule 9.6.13 of the UKLA Listing Rules or Rule 6.6.13 of the
Irish Stock Exchange Listing Rules.



2          At the date of his appointment as a director, Dr McCoss' interests in
the share capital of the Company comprised 196 ordinary shares of 10p each ('
Ordinary Shares') held under the terms of the Tullow Oil UK Share Incentive Plan
and a conditional award of 100,230 Ordinary Shares granted on 27 April 2006
under the terms of the Tullow Oil 2005 Performance Share Plan; the vesting of
this award is subject to the satisfaction of performance conditions.
