Electra Partners LLP acquires Lil-lets
Electra Partners LLP ('Electra Partners') the private equity specialist, is
pleased to announce it has invested £27 million in the management buyout of
Lil-lets from Accantia Group on behalf of its client Electra Private Equity PLC
('Electra'). Electra has invested alongside the management team led by Duccio
Baldi.
Lil-lets is a branded feminine hygiene consumer products business; a market
leader in both the UK and South Africa. This transaction will allow management
to focus solely on the Lil-lets brand with a view to developing its market
position and customer base.
Lil-lets provides Electra with an opportunity to invest in a business with
strong long term prospects with an established brand in a mature market. This
investment will complement Electra's existing portfolio.
Rhian Davies at Electra Partners commented 'This deal reflects our commitment to
the new long term investment strategy at Electra. We believe in the management
team and look forward to working alongside them in the future.'
Barclays and Bank of Scotland provided the acquisition finance.
