                      The Unite Group plc ('the Company')

Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 6,242 ordinary shares of 25p each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List.


It is expected admission will be granted on 30 January 2008 and trading will
commence on 31 January 2008.


These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options under
The UNITE Group plc Approved Share Option Scheme (3,539 Ords), The UNITE Group
plc Unapproved Share Option Scheme (1,696 Ords), and The UNITE Group plc Savings
Related Share Option Scheme (1,007 Ords).


These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
