                      The Unite Group plc ('the Company')

Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 331,848 ordinary shares of 25p each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List.


It is expected admission will be granted on 27 March 2006 and trading will
commence on 28 March 2006.


These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options under
The UNITE Group plc Approved Share Option Scheme (12,570 shares), The UNITE
Group plc Unapproved Share Option Scheme (315,766 shares) and Savings Related
Share Option Scheme (3,512 shares).


These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
