Transaction in Own Shares

Utilico Emerging Markets Limited (the "Company") announces that it purchased for cancellation 2,260,579 ordinary shares on Friday 27 August 2010, at a price of 145 pence per share. 

Following this purchase the Company's issued share capital consists of 220,527,034 ordinary shares.

The above figure (220,527,034) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interests in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
