5th December 2013
Velocys plc (VLS.L), the technology innovator for smaller scale gas-to-liquids (GTL), is pleased to announce that its CFO, Susan Robertson, has been recognised as one of the top 20 Finance Directors (FDs) in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector in 2013.
Susan achieved the recognition at last night's Hot 20 FDs in TMT competition awards ceremony, hosted by accountants and business advisers BDO LLP.
A panel of judges, including industry leaders, from TMT and financial services firms as well as experts from the media, included Susan in its top 20, in recognition of her achievements in the last 12 months.
Susan joined Velocys in 2007 and has played an integral role in the rapid development of the Company since then, a development which has seen the acquisition of a larger US-based company, its subsequent integration and the commercialisation of the enlarged Company's combined GTL offering. In 2013, she has been instrumental in driving expansion and commerciality of the Company's technology, a process that included an important £30.6m placing at the beginning of the year to a major rebranding of the Company with its name change from Oxford Catalysts Group to Velocys.
In addition to her role as CFO, Susan is also a Board member of Velocys plc, Company Secretary and responsible for the Company's HR function.

Notes to editors
Velocys (formerly Oxford Catalysts) enables modular gas-to-liquids (GTL) plants to convert unconventional, remote and problem gas into valuable liquid fuels. Systems based on the Company's technology are significantly smaller than those using conventional technology, enabling modular plants that can be deployed cost effectively in remote locations and on smaller fields than is possible with competing systems. Together with world-class partners, Velocys provides complete modular GTL solutions that address an untapped market of up to 25 million barrels of fuel a day
Velocys plc is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE: VLS). The Company has approx. 100 employees with facilities in Houston, Texas, USA and near Oxford, UK and Columbus, Ohio, USA.
