Cookson Group plc, the leading materials science company, is today hosting a
Capital Markets Day at its chemistry facility in Langenfeld, Germany.

Presentations will be given on both the Electronics Division and the Ceramics
Division.  Copies of the presentations will be available on Cookson's website
www.cooksongroup.co.uk from 11.00am today.

An update on trading was provided within the preliminary results announcement on
14 March 2006 and no new material information will be provided at today's
presentations.
