U.S. Department of Justice Contract Award

The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec"), the international provider of products and services for broadcast, photographic and MAG (military, aerospace and government) markets, announces that it has recently been awarded an order from the U.S. Department of Justice.

This $5.8 million order has been received under a framework agreement that had been awarded to assist the Department of Justice in the migration of its wireless spectrum networks known as Auction 66.  It is a significant follow on from the first order received in April 2010 and will be fulfilled by Vitec's IMT business that serves the MAG market.

Commenting on the contract award, Stephen Bird, Group Chief Executive, said: "We are pleased to continue to support the U.S. Department of Justice and its investment in state of the art RF wireless technology."
