Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Directors ('the Board') of VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited ('the Company'), an investment company established to target key growth segments within Vietnam's emerging market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Michael Grenville  Gray, aged 64, as an Independent Non-executive Director effective from 24 June 2009. 

Mr Gray was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore and before that was the Territorial Senior Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos). He has over 30 years professional experience and 10 years in the shipping industry before training as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in the UK. Mr Gray and is a board member of several companies in Singapore, including Avi-tech Electronics Ltd, JEL Corporation Holdings Ltd, Grand Banks Ltd, and Raffles Marina Holdings Ltd.

About Michael Gray

Mr. Michael Grenville Gray was born in 1945. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Maritime Studies from Plymouth University and a Masters of Arts if South East Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore. He was admitted as a member to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (FCA) in 1976. Michael is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Singapore, a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors and registered as an auditor in Vietnam.
