Director Resignation

The Board of Directors ("the Board") of VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited ("the Company"), an investment company focused on Vietnam, announces that Dr. Jonathan Choi has resigned as a Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Dr. Choi has been a Director of the Company since its inception in 2003, and resigns now to focus on his other personalcommitments. Dr. Choi is the Chairman of Sun Wah Group, a Hong Kong-based conglomerate, and is also Chairman of Kingsway International Holdings, a Toronto-listed company, and SW Kingsway, a Hong Kong-listed investment bank and fund manager.

Dr. Choi was a founding Member of VinaCapital Group, the Company's investment manager, and he remains in this role.

Commenting on the resignation of Dr. Choi, the Company's Chairman Mr. William Vanderfelt said: "The Board and the investment manager would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Choi for his many contributions to the Company during his tenure, which reaches back to the initial capital raising of USD10 million in 2003. Since the Company's inception, Dr. Choi has provided advice and insight on a truly vast range of issues. On behalf of the Board, I wish Dr. Choi all the best with his future endeavors."

Dr. Choi's resignation means that the Board of Directors of the Company is now comprised of a majority of independent Directors, as required by the AIM Rules for Companies.
