Share buyback

VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd ('the Company') announces that Visaka Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has made the following share purchases pursuant to the share buyback authority added to the Company's charter on 25 October 2011:

·     On 19 July 2012, Visaka Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, purchased 100,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at an average price of US$1.525 per share. 

·     On 20 July 2012, Visaka Holdings Limited purchased 225,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at an average price of US$1.528 per share. 

Following these transactions, VOF has spent USD22.1 million overall repurchasing 14,934,663 shares which are held as treasury shares. The total number of shares acquired since November 2011 represents 4.6 percent of the Company's 324,610,259 Ordinary Shares in issue and as a result, total voting rights in the Company have been reduced to 309,675,596
