Vodafone Group Plc ('the Company')

In accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1), I have to inform you that the
Company has been advised that John Buchanan, a Non-Executive Director of the
Company, has today acquired an interest in 100,000 of shares of US$0.10 each in
the Company at the price of 128p per share. The shares were purchased in the
joint names of Mr & Mrs John Buchanan. Mr Buchanan's total interest is now
204,318 shares.
