VODAFONE AIRTOUCH LAUNCHES Euro 25 BILLION SYNDICATED
LOAN FACILITY
Vodafone AirTouch Plc ('Vodafone AirTouch') announces
today that it has launched the syndication of its Euro 25
billion (previously Euro 30 billion) senior credit
facility to potential sub-underwriters in connection with
its recommended Offer for Mannesmann AG.
In December 1999 a Euro 30 billion facility was
successfully underwritten by 11 arranging banks
comprising ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Bank of America
International Limited, Banque Nationale de Paris,
Barclays Capital, Citibank, Goldman Sachs International,
Greenwich NatWest Limited, ING Bank N.V., National
Australia Bank Limited, Toronto Dominion Bank Europe
Limited and Warburg Dillon Read.
Following the issue of Vodafone AirTouch's $5.25 billion
global bond on 7 February 2000, the overall amount of the
bank facility has been reduced to Euro 25 billion. The
lowering of the overall amount of the facility has been
accommodated through the reduction of the Euro 15 billion
short-term 364-day with six-month term out option
revolving credit to Euro 10 billion. Other elements of
the financing include a Euro 7.5 billion 364-day
revolving credit with one-year term out option and a Euro
7.5bn three-year revolving credit.
