VODAFONE CONFIRMS PARTNERS FOR ITS GLOBAL PLATFORM AND INTERNET GROUP
Vodafone Group Plc ('Vodafone') today confirms the content and technology
partners chosen for its Global Platform and Internet Services Group ('VGP').
The partnerships include:
- New York Times Digital;
- MedicinePlanet, Inc.;
- ScreamingMedia, Inc.;
- Cambridge Technology Partners;
- AirFlash, Inc.; and
- Google Inc.
The partnerships will add design, customized content, advanced search
technology, content integration and location-based services to the Vodafone
Global Platform. The VGP designs, builds and maintains Vodafone's global
portal outside of Europe.
Vodafone customers - wherever they travel - can log onto the Vizzavi site and
easily select the exact information they want to receive via their wireless
device, including stock quotes, weather reports, travel information, sports
updates and other lifestyle information - all designed to make managing their
life more simple.

providing wireless Internet content to Vizzavi users outside of Europe.
Content from New York Times Digital includes headlines and abstracts from
NYTimes.com and is available on the portal. Medicine Planet provides
comprehensive health guides and services to mobile Internet users. Through its
content aggregation, processing and integration software solution,
ScreamingMedia delivers customized content to Vodafone's wireless portal.
2. Technology Partners:
Cambridge Technology Partners, AirFlash, Inc., and Google Inc. are delivering
technology services that enhance wireless content on a global level for the
VGP. The VGP designs, builds and maintains the global portal in Vodafone's
territories outside of Europe. Cambridge's cognitive and visual designs
establish a global and local user experience through regional personalized
sites that includes both an Internet and WAP solution. AirFlash, Inc. builds
location-relevant wireless services for Vodafone's mobile customers including
business listings, driving and walking directions, a restaurant finder and
community applications. Google Inc. integrates the company's advanced search
engine, Web directory and wireless technology into the VGP's entire network of
Internet portal sites.
