WEIR GROUP ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Weir Group PLC announces the appointment of Stephen King to the Board as a
non-executive director, effective from 3 February 2005.
Mr King (44), is group finance director of De La Rue plc, the security printing
and papermaking group.
He has been with De La Rue since 2002, having held a Board role with Midlands
Electricity plc, and senior financial roles with Seeboard plc and Lucas
Industries plc. He is also a director of Camelot Group plc in which De La Rue
has a 20% shareholding.
Weir Group chairman, Sir Robert Smith, said: 'Stephen has a good understanding
of the international dimension of business. He knows Weir from the customer
perspective while at Seeboard and Midland Electricity and he will complement the
already considerable range of expertise on The Weir Group board. I am delighted
he has agreed to join us.'
