Appointment of Shires Crichton to post of Sales Director

Westminster International Ltd, a division of Westminster Group Plc ('the Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shires Crichton as Sales Director with immediate effect.

Westminster International has seen a significant increase in enquiry levels and orders won since the flotation of the Group in 2007. This increase in activity has resulted in the opening of two new offices, in Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur, and the appointment of further agents.

Shires Crichton, initially trained as an Electronic Security Engineer, has worked in the international security and defence industries for over 20 years.  His experience spans both governmental and commercial clients, addressing personal and collateral risks throughout the world.

Shires has supported clients from personnel training and solutions consultancy through to design, procurement, project management, installation and post implementation systems audit.  Areas of specialism include counter terrorism, counter insurgency, prevention of theft and sabotage, personal security and infrastructure security. 

Having built and managed internationally focussed sales teams previously, including within a Plc environment, Shires will be responsible for the continuing development of Westminster International's markets worldwide.
