Westminster Group Plc:

Signs New MoU for 25 Year Airport Security Project in the Middle East

Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster', the 'Group' or the 'Company'), the AIM listed supplier of managed services and technology based security solutions to governments and government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and blue chip commercial organisations worldwide, is pleased to announce a further development in its Managed Services division.

Westminster's aviation security subsidiary, Westminster Aviation Security Services ('WASS'), has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with a Middle East Civil Aviation Authority for the provision of long term (up to 25 years) aviation security services at a significant international airport within the country concerned serving several million passengers annually.

In view of the heightened security threat worldwide, together with the strategic importance and forecast growth of the airport in question, the country's Civil Aviation Authority recognised the need to urgently improve airport security and equally recognised WASS's experience and expertise in this field.

Arrangements are now being made for a team of WASS technical experts to meet with the authorities in order to establish technical and operational requirements prior to final contract negotiations.

Commenting on the MoU award Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:

"I am delighted to announce this latest and strategically important development in our roll out of long term managed services projects around the world.  This latest MoU and other recent developments indicate the momentum we are building.

"On 20 January 2016 we announced that our Managed Services division had signed an important new long term MoU for airport security at several international airports.  This MoU was the 4th MoU for long term airport security services signed within the past 12 months.  In addition to the update on these projects given on 20 January, I am pleased to report we continue to progress these various large scale opportunities.

"On 22 February 2016 we announced that our Technology Division had signed a long term MoU relating to a 20 year border security project in the Middle East which offers huge potential and for which Westminster is now undertaking preliminary works.

"Our announcement today of yet another major long term MoU is significant on a number of levels. It is the 7th long term project MoU now secured, 3 of which have been signed in the last 7 weeks, and all of which are the result of many months of business development work and negotiations.  Notably these opportunities are spread across a number of different regions of the world, reducing geographic risk. The airport which is the subject of this latest development is strategic both in terms of location and forecast growth, with potential for further agreements in respect of the country's other international airports.

"Whilst there is of course no certainty as to timing or the final outcome of this MOU or any of the project opportunities in progress we believe the number of long term large scale MoU's now in play, any one of which would be transformational for Westminster, and the momentum we are seeing together with the current security situation worldwide is encouraging and we will of course continue to update the market on progress in due course."
