Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility

On Thursday 30 December 2010 David Capstick, a person discharging managerial responsibility at JD Wetherspoon plc, exercised 2,700 options to subscribe to ordinary 2p shares, the exercise consisted of 2,700 options at 343.6p.  

Mr Capstick immediately sold the shares at a price of 444.5p per share.

Following this transaction, Mr Capstick's interest remains 36,869 ordinary shares in the Company.
