DIRECTOR DECLARATION

Further to an announcement made earlier on 7 September 2009, relating to the appointment of Richard Baker as a Non Executive Director of Whitbread PLC, this notice contains certain information required to be disclosed in accordance with section LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules. 

In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (1) of the Listing Rules, Richard Baker was a director of Alliance Boots Holdings Limited (formerly Boots Group PLC and Alliance Boots PLC) from 15/09/2003 to 11/07/2007.

In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules, there is no information relating to Richard Baker required to be disclosed.

Section LR9.6.13 paragraph (2) to (6) relates to:
