Non Executive Director Change
Whitbread today announced that Margaret Ewing will be stepping down from the
Board as a non-executive director on 31st July 2007 following her appointment as
a Partner and Vice-Chairman at Deloitte. Margaret was appointed to the Board
in July 2005 and has chaired the Audit Committee since September 2005
Anthony Habgood, Whitbread's Chairman said, 'We will miss Margaret's
contribution to the Board but understand that the opportunity with Deloitte will
mean that she will not be able to continue with other public company roles. I
would like to thank Margaret for her strong support and advice during her time
with Whitbread and wish her all the best for the future.'
