                              Wilmington Group plc 
                                 ('the Company')

Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for a total of 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 5p each to be
admitted to the Official List of the UKLA and to trading. 500,000 ordinary
shares of 5p each are to be listed under a block listing pursuant to the
Company's 1999 Approved Share Option Scheme and 500,000 ordinary shares of 5p
each are to be listed under a block listing pursuant to the Company's 1995
Unapproved Share Option Scheme. It is expected that admission will occur and
trading will commence on 2 October 2007. The shares will rank pari passu with
the existing issued ordinary shares.
