                      ('Wilmington Group' or 'the Company')

Wilmington Group announces that on 26 September 2007 Basil Brookes, Finance
Director of the Company, and Stephen Broome, a PDMR, each exercised options over
25,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company under the Wilmington Group plc
1999 Approved Share Option Scheme and options over 5,000 ordinary shares of 5p
each in the Company under the Wilmington Group plc 1995 Unapproved Share Option
Scheme at a price of 118.5 pence per share. Mr Brookes and Mr Broome
subsequently sold these shares at a price of 230 pence per share. Mr Brookes'
and Mr Broome's holdings of ordinary shares in the Company remain unchanged at
845,662 and 233,552 respectively, which represent 1.01% and 0.28% of the voting
rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such
transaction..
