Wilmington Group plc announces today that Mr Basil Brookes has been appointed as
its Finance Director with immediate effect. Mr Brookes, who is an existing Board
Director, has held various senior positions within Wilmington since he joined
the Group in 1992.
Mr Ahmed Zahedieh the previous Finance Director has indicated his wish to reduce
his responsibilities ahead of his retirement in 2003 and by mutual consent it
has been agreed that he will cease to be a Director of Wilmington Group plc from
30th April 2002. Mr Zahedieh will continue to be the Group Company Secretary.
Commenting on the changes, Brian Gilbert Chairman of Wilmington Group plc said:-
'I would like to thank Ahmed for his significant contribution to the development
of Wilmington and I am delighted that he will continue his involvement with
Wilmington Group plc. It gives me great pleasure that Basil Brookes has been
appointed Finance Director, I am confident we have the right people in place to
take the Group forward.'
