Payment of a Second Interim Dividend

Witan Investment Trust plc hereby announces that a second interim dividend of 5.9p per ordinary share of 25p, in respect of the year ended 31 December 2008, will be paid on Friday 3 April 2009 to shareholders registered at the close of business on Friday 6 March 2009.

The Board has declared a second interim dividend instead of a final dividend in order to ensure that, as in previous years, the distribution is made to the shareholders before 5 April.  

The Company has stated its intention to grow the dividend at least in line with inflation year on year. The two interim dividends declared in respect of 2008 total 10.2p, an increase of 3.0% on the 9.9p paid in respect of 2007.
