JUNE 2020 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS
WIZZ AIR OPERATED 25% OF ITS CAPACITY

Geneva, 2 July 2020: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for June 2020.
In June 2020, Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering as follows :
· Wizz Air announced the opening of three new bases, the deployment of a total of nine aircraft and is launching 64 new routes to:
‒ Bacău, Romania: new base with two aircraft and 12 new routes
‒ Belgrade, Serbia: one additional aircraft, taking the base to three aircraft, adding nine new routes
‒ Bucharest, Romania: seven new routes
‒ Dortmund, Germany: new base with three aircraft and 18 new routes
‒ Larnaca, Cyprus: one additional aircraft, taking the base to three aircraft, adding five new routes
‒ St. Petersburg, Russia: new base with one aircraft and five new routes
‒ Varna, Bulgaria: one additional aircraft, taking the base to three aircraft, adding eight new routes
· Fleet expansion with the addition of the first two Airbus A320neo aircraft. These game-changing aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines and deliver close to 50% reduction in noise footprint compared to previous generation aircraft. In addition, Pratt and Whitney's GTF engine reduces fuel burn by 16% and nitrogen oxide emissions by 50%.
· Wizz Air continuously operates at the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 57.9 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 30 June 2020. For the month of June, emissions in grams per passenger/km were 64.3% higher due to the drop in load factor, while total CO2 emissions in tonnes decreased in line with capacity.
