Acquisition of New Licences in Tanzania
New Uranium and Platinum Licences
Obtala Resources Plc is pleased to announce it has increased its Uranium exploration licence area by a further 412km2. The licence, 100% owned by Mindex (BVI), a subsidiary of Obtala, is in located in Ulanga and Namtumbo districts of Southern Tanzania. This area is ideally situated both geologically and geographically to our existing Uranium licences. Obtala now holds a total of 1,737km2 of Uranium exploration ground within Karoo sediments.
Also, a further licence has been acquired covering 712km2 for Platinum Group Elements and Copper in the Kigoma and Mpanda district of Western Tanzania. This licence lies 100km north of Mpanda and immediately south of Obtala's existing Kigoma Copper licences (1,422km2), totalling 2,136km2.
The addition of the Kigoma Platinum licence further advances the multi-commodity exploration focus of the company.
