WPP received on 29 March 2000 the following notification pursuant to sections
198-202 of the Companies Act 1985.
Fidelity Investments interests are now 2.89% of WPP's issued Ordinary Share
Capital.
The interests are those of:
1. FMR Corp., parent company of Fidelity Management & Research Company
('FMRCO') and Fidelity Management Trust Company ('FMTC').
2. Fidelity International Limited ('FIL'), parent company of Fidelity
Investment Services Limited ('FISL') and Fidelity Pension Management
Limited ('FPML').
3. Mr Edward C Johnson 3rd, principal shareholder of FMR Corp. and FIL.
