Xaar plc (the 'Company')


An application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for a Block Listing of 41,981 ordinary shares of 10p to be admitted to
the Official List.


The shares which rank pari passu in all respects with the existing shares in
issue will be allotted pursuant to the rules of the Xaar plc 1997 Share Option
Scheme.


The Stock will not be allotted immediately but as and when the scheme rules
allow.
