               APPOINTMENT OF ANDREW TAYLOR AS COMPANY SECRETARY


Xaar plc ('Xaar'), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered in
Cambridge, has appointed Andrew Taylor as Company Secretary with effect from 1
December 2003.


Andrew, aged 34, has worked for Xaar as Group Financial Controller since April
2001.  His role as Company Secretary represents an additional responsibility.


Prior to his joining Xaar, Andrew worked for BAE Systems plc for nearly five
years.  An ACA, he qualified with Ernst & Young.
