Change to Board of Directors

Xaar plc announces that Mark Shepherd has resigned as a director with effect
from today to pursue other career opportunities.  His employment with Xaar will
continue until the end of July 2000.  Mark has been with Xaar since 1990, and a
director since 1994, during which time he has had a variety of technical and
business development roles.
