Notification of Major Interests in Shares

The Company received a notification from Hermes Administration Services Limited,
on behalf of The Trustees of BT Pension Scheme, Hermes Pension Management
Limited and Hermes Investment Management Limited informing it that they have a
material interest in 5,877,266 shares, representing 9.82% of the issued ordinary
share capital of the company. The shares are registered in the name of BriTel
Fund Nominees Limited and Possfund Nominees Ltd.
