Notification of Major Interests in Shares

The Company received notifications from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers
Limited on behalf of its client The Royal Bank of Scotland plc as Trustee of the
Merrill Lynch UK Special Situations Fund informing it that as at 30 December
2004 they had a holding of 1,789,015 ordinary shares representing 2.97% of the
Company's issued ordinary share capital. Consequently they no longer have a
notifiable holding.
