INTERIM RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT DATE

Xaar plc (XAR), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered in Cambridge,
will be announcing its interim results for the half year ended 30 June 2004 on
Wednesday 15 September 2004.

A press briefing will be held at 11.00 am on that day at Bankside Consultants,
St Mary Abchurch House, 123 Cannon Street, London EC4N 5AU.

A lunch briefing for analysts will be held at 12.30 pm at the London Capital
Club, 15 Abchurch Lane, London EC4N 7BN.
