                    ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING : TRADING UPDATE

Xaar plc ('Xaar'), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered in
Cambridge, is holding its Annual General Meeting today.  The Chairman, Arie
Rosenfeld will give the following update on trading:

'I am pleased to report that trading in the first quarter of 2005 has been in
line with our expectations, continuing the strong performance achieved during
2004.  The company looks forward to achieving further progress during 2005 with
short term growth driven by the widespread recognition of the quality of our
current product range and technologies.  For the medium and longer term, Xaar
has an exciting pipeline of new products and an expanding horizon of potential
applications.'
