Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
YouGov plc, one of the UK's leading market research and opinion polling
companies, today announces that Katherine Lee (ACA) has been appointed Chief
Financial Officer and member of the Board with effect from 25 July 2005. Jonson
Helps, currently Finance Director, will take on the role of Financial Controller
for the Group and will step down from the Board.
Katherine (age 31) joins from Grant Thornton UK LLP where she has been Senior
Manager in Transaction Services, Corporate Finance since November 2004.
Katherine previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sydney and Leeds from
February 2000 until June 2003. Prior to working at PricewaterhouseCoopers
Katherine spent over four years at Coopers & Lybrand where she qualified as a
chartered accountant.
Commenting on the appointment Nadhim Zahawi, Joint Chief Executive of YouGov,
said:
'Katherine has the financial, strategic and people skills that the recently
listed Group requires as we grow the business both organically, by developing
new internet based market research techniques, and through selective
acquisitions.'
