Share Consolidation

The Company is pleased to announce that, following the passing of all resolutions at the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 22 September 2009, the proposed one-for-ten share consolidation has today become effective.

As a result, 132,602,849 ordinary shares of 50 pence each in the Company have today been admitted to trading. Northgate plc's issued ordinary share capital as at 23 September 2009 therefore comprises 132,602,849 shares with voting rights. 

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for calculations to determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Northgate plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
