ZOO DIGITAL GROUP PLC
("ZOO" or "the Company")
AGM Statement
At ZOO's Annual General Meeting to be held later today, Roger Jeynes, Chairman, will make the following statement:
"2016 marked the beginning of a new era in screen entertainment with online retailers of video content now delivering internet TV networks to almost every country in the world. There is an unprecedented number of new TV episodes being produced annually, and since English is predominantly the source language of global screen entertainment, the demand for high quality localisation services to adapt programmes for international distribution is growing.
"ZOO is at the forefront of innovation in this market, delivering premium services to major content owners and online retailers through the use of the Company's proprietary cloud software. This enables ZOO to offer fast, reliable and scalable propositions for localisation and digital distribution that set the Company apart from its competitors.
"Following the addition of a number of major clients over the summer, there is now greater diversity in our revenue sources, and growth in the number of video minutes processed each month.
"ZOO continues to invest in R&D, extending its software platforms to apply automation that improves quality, lowers cost and enhances management control, and innovating to offer end-to-end services for worldwide digital video distribution.
"We will continue to seek to grow our share of the expanding market with a differentiated and superior proposition.
"Trading in the first five months of the year has generated a small profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation. Consistent with the second half of FY15/16, cashflow from operations in the first half to date has been neutral with the board continuing to manage the business throughout the period within available facilities."
A short presentation on the Company's capabilities will be given by Stuart Green, CEO of ZOO, during the AGM. A copy of the presentation will be available on the Company's website (www.zoodigital.com) subsequent to the meeting.
