The Company was notified on 18 July 2003, by the Mineworkers' Pension Scheme, of
its shareholding in the Company's ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary Shares').

As at 15 July 2003 the Mineworkers' Pension Scheme held an increased total of
2,252,234 Ordinary Shares representing 6.21 per cent. of the Company's issued
Ordinary Share capital. The Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of the
Mineworkers' Pension Scheme (Chase GIS) Nominees Ltd.
